Is this what you like?
To see me curled up in the corner,
Clutching my heart for fear of losing
The one inside of it?
Is this what I'm supposed to be?
A cancer at your lips,
Stealing away your life
Until you simply can't, simply push me away?
Is this how I'm supposed to feel?
Hopeless, dejected,
In the world's greatest pain,
And responsible for it?
Is this how you feel, as well?
Or is that another thing I can chock up to lies?
Do you really hate yourself for hurting me,
Or is that exactly what you want me to think?
Is this what being alive is like?
Being dragged down, down
To the ground,
By the strings of my heart?
Is this what it means to be in love?
I'm not so certain
I want it anymore.
